It’s time! This article outlines all the details for how breeding will work for the next Anata drop!
The goal of breeding is:
- Expand the world of Anata by introducing fun, new characters
- Continue to push the boundaries on what’s possible with NFTs and add new features
- Deliver free, fun, and useful new art to holders without creating infinite supply problems other breeding mechanisms have
- Create a mechanism / breeding event that brings the community together and doesn’t force anyone to spend more on buying more NFTs if they don’t want to
The output of breeding will be a Chibi! Each Chibi Anata will be uncontrollably cute and unreasonably expressive. They feature huge eyes, many fun emotes, and full built-in hand tracking!
Just like with the base collection, every Chibi will be usable with Hologram, and holders will be able to download their files directly for use in apps like Vtube Studio.
Here’s how it works:
- In 2–3 weeks, holders will visit the breeding zone on the Anata website (not yet live) where they will be able to choose another Anata to breed with, for each Anata NFT they hold
- The Anata the holder breeds with must also choose to breed with them
- There will be a indicator on the website that shows if your mating event is successful (double opt in)
- There will be an official cut off date to choose your mate a few weeks after the website launches. This will be announced later.
- Yes, you can make a Chibi with Tetranode, Degen Spartan, Coin Alchemist, or any of the honoraries. Each of them will be able to select one Anata (or honorary) to breed with, so start flirting!
- After the cutoff date each successful breed with get airdropped an egg NFT (one per parent). The egg will hatch into a Chibi once all the artwork is complete.
- Both Chibis from the same parents won’t be the exact same, they’ll have slight differences so they can be told apart but still be siblings!
- Chibis will have NO governance control, voting is exclusive to Anata NFT holders.
- If you hold more than 1 Anata NFT you can breed with another Anata you own
The Anata DAO has been hard at work over the past few weeks! Today, holding an Anata means you get:
- A fully rigged 1/1 NFT you can be with tons of emotes, built in physics, unique attributes and a looping video
- Free chibi drop, fully rigged with hand tracking and tons of expressiveness
- Free PFP project which should be one of the most unique PFP projects in the space
- Free fully rigged 1/1 VRM models for every anata [In exploration phase, DAO vote to come]
- Massive treasury of 4000+ ETH for ongoing development and expansion of Anata
- A 7-person art team that is making things like custom backgrounds, surprise art for active holders, etc.
